I'm an amateur makeup artist, and find that eye color really has nothing to do with your eye shadows. Any eye color can go with any color of shadow. If you want to match it up...
brown eyes - browns, beiges, earth/warm tone colors.
black eyes - Bold colorful colors always look good with black eyes.
grey eyes - black, greys, blues, cooler tones
purple grey eyes - pink
green eyes - brown, green, green/yellow, black, grey, blue (I have green eyes)
hazel eyes - Since hazel eyes are infamous for changing color, where green when you want the green to come out, blue, for when you want the blues to come out, & browns for when you want the browns to come out.

sooo many, let me think
-brown eyes look good when the flecks of colours in them other than brown, like plum and green are picked up, so plums and greens look good with brown, as well as amber
-black eyes are really pretty with purple eyeshadow, because it gives them a bit of colour
-grey eyes also need some accent colour, i find plum and blues can suit grey eyes
-ive never seen purpley-grey eyes, but i would say teal colours, because its a good contrast
-i have green eyes, and i find that light green, plums and golds suit me best.
-hazel eyes look really nice with everything, greens, browns, golds, plums, blues...
-blue eyes also look great with light green, and purples...
keep in mind that you don't want to go over-the-top with the colours I've listed above, if you put too much or put them too dark, it looks tacky

Yes i agree black goes well with any type of eye color
But if you have brownish complexion then it will look like panda eyes =)
If also depends on what colors do u like and what kinda person are u?
If you are the wild type then you'll like the cheesy colors like
-Green
-Dark Purple
-Dark Pink
-Dark Blue
If you are the simple type you u'll stick more to the soft tones like
-Brown
-Gold
-Silver/Grey
-Light Pink
Good Luck

I have Blue eyes that regulate colors too. and people say that I ought to positioned on colors like; Brown and Gold, oh and orange. and if u extremely wanna lead them to "pop" and stand out to lead them to higher outline the exterior with brown eyeliner. Saphora is an extremely good makeup position regardless of the indisputable fact that that is amazingly expensive. So even an area like Walgreens or objective to get your make up is great.

I think that if you have dark colour eyes - black/brown, then white eyeshadow with black mascara always looks fab. Blue eyes normally look great with NO eyeshadow, just with black mascara and black eyeliner.
