Thanks for the feedback, I may have over reacted. I really enjoy yahoo answers and believe it's very valuable tool. So now I won't be so cynical and not let a few bad apples spoil the orchard.

You come upon a question that is either itself long or has long answers. You have two options in this situation.

1) Read it, then come in here and whine about it.

2) Surf away or scroll past the answer.

I would suggest that you choose option number two if you are so deeply disturbed.

Some of us sometimes feel the urge to write more in depth than others.

This is our right as is yours to gripe about it.

An answer is something what a person has understood clearly and can Judge that particular subject in his/her ideology or view.Every one in this planet wants to have a voice,by knowing a subject, that person is given a voice,on which he/she may speak for knowledge instills confidence. The fact is an individual has his/her own way of seeing a fact.To me it may be good,to others it may be distasteful.
here the question of opinion comes, everyone wants others to accept their views as the best one. That's why people use answers to propagate their veiws.
e.g.-suppose you dont like a food item, whereas I do, it may happen that I start to lecture you on the goodness of the item,if you get curious and ask me-do you like that particular item.
So this way I would be forcing you to accept my opinion rather than to say Yes or No.
ANYWAY YOU HAVE GIVEN YOUR OWN VEIWS AND HAVE GOT THE ANSWER[SEE YOUR DETAIL],SO WHY WASTE YOUR TIME?

So you want the people to take a bite of the humble pie first before an answer? Have you noticed that in this new world, humility and modesty are going fast into oblivion? If I am correct, you have violated that which you frown upon.

Why not enjoy using this space to "Voice " opinions. This is what philosophy is; opinions! Enjoy this place like we are! We ( collectively) will let you know if you are out of line. Have as much fun as we are!

mostly we do have the answer to our question, but we need a push, hence we ask it, and let others with their encouraging manner help us. See, did you not have any reply to your this question? If you did then why again ask it? It depends to what one needs to get from others' opinions.

Why don't you start your own YA type website, then you can control it (they way you apparently feel you should be able to), because in essence you have just propagated your own opinion as to how YA should be run!

Some questions require us to use our experiences and opinions to answer them. Not everything is black and white, not every question can be answered using only facts..
