I purchased the new Duet Whirlpool front loaders about a year ago. I love them! I have 4 kids so that means ALOT of laundry. I have noticed a big difference in my electric bill. Besides that my king size comforter fits beautifully in there and comes out looking like I dropped it off at the cleaners. Saving more money!!!
Hope this helped. Good luck.

We just bought the GE Harmony washer and dryer. I have always gotten long use from GE washers. This one has a computer connection that communicates with the dryer to coordinate drying times. Clothes are cleaned well and many custom cycles are available. I have set and stored my own preferences for quick use.

Brandt is a good make and they have a good energy rating. You have settings to save water and heating. They even have a refresh setting where you want to wash something just to freshen in rather than because it is dirty. The refresh setting washes at 30 degrees C and is over in 30 minutes.

I have had zanussi machines for the last 20 odd years, only 2 in that time! They are energy efficient, which is something we all ought to be thinking about now!

GE is the best... I have both washer & dryer for 10 years and still running... By the way my refrigerator & stove are GE too.

I like Speed Queen. All they make are washers and dryers. They are one of the largest commercial distributers.

I think Hotpoint, I have had one for three years and it's so quick, easy to use and have never had a problem with it yet. Good luck picking one.
