...its my birthday!!!...wooohooo!!...the only year for a long while that i actually feel good about it...only thing is ...i'm dead broke so haven't made any plans...any ideas?

I have a few birthdays when skint, but luckily mates and my brother came to my rescue.
If I were wihout funds and had no one helping with plans I think I would consider the most low cost things on earth:
If I could afford the bus, I would act the "American Tourist" gawking at buildings and otherwise behaving as though one level below barking mad; this is fun if mates can come along, well more fun.
If I had a bit of cheese and bread, I would pack a plowman's lunch and enjoy it in a restful park, and enjoy the scenery.
I would, if any elderly or other mates, of family lived nearby, go and visit them, maybe casually mentioning it was my birthday.
Being the bookworm that I am, I might wind up at a lending library and spend time there.
Most importantly, I would take a mo here and there to be thankful for all I do have and to think in terms of appreciation for the good in my past, and the good, perhaps unknown that will one day come.
Others had good ideas like with renting a movie and so forth, but again, I am coming from the perspective of being super skint.

Happy, happy birthday! You could go out people watching. Grab a soda (or a cup of hot chocolate), grab a friend or two, and go somewhere that there are lots of people. Then make up stories about the people that pass by. You should be able to get some good ones, depending on where you live, and it should be loads of fun. That is what you're looking for, right?

That's nice happy birthday and many happy returns, I find by getting out for a little walk can have some benefits and also you can spread a little happiness with your pleasant mood, and you never know you might even make a new friend.

if i was broke i would get some girl mates round ask them to bring a bottle or two and some nibbles and and watch a great soppy movie that make you cry!!
and try and russel up some nibbles from the kicthen it will be great night with ya mates xxxx

You don't need money to have fun....(now I am trying to think of something you can do that is free....hrmmm)...
Take a great walk, count your blessings...you said you were happy...curl up with a good book...call a friend...ahve fun and happy birthday, this is the youngest you wil be for the rest of your life!!!!

Happy Birthday! - Invite friends round to your house with a few bottles and get hammered - always works for me when skint.
