I have an ADSL connection with the phone wall socket far away from the computer. Currently the phone line is placed along the floor all the way to the phone wall socket several metres away. Not very convenient. Is it possible to put some wireless USB thing on my modem so data can travel to the computer without the ethernet cable?

Your ADSL modem can be plugged into a wireless router. As long as your computer/laptop has a wireless USB thingy or wireless card. You will be able to do everythign wirelessly.

I hope this helped :)
Visit some place liek circuit city, staples or walmart to purchase one at a good price.

Get a wireless router and adapter. Plug the router into the phone line near the wall and set up the adapter in your pc. You should then have internet connection.

You might be best off getting an all-in-one wireless router + modem.

Of course you'll need a wireless connection on your computer, too.
