if you haven't done so already, practice palying them one after the other over and over again.
Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you can play a 'A', and a 'G', and a 'C' - so the next step is getting yourself to be able to move from 'A' to 'G' to 'C' (or whatever chords you know) fluidly. If you look at good guitar players, they don't have to think about it and they don't have any mistakes moving from one chord to another.
Once you can move between chords fluidly, then progress to different strumming patterns or picking patterns.
You should always be practicing doing these things while looking as cool as possible, so play in front of a mirror so you can see if you look like Steve Perry (from Aerosmith, cool) or Steve Jobs (the guy from Apple, dork).

Start playing Bass Guitar right away,go with a 5 string you can't go wrong,you now have basic fret board knowledge

link the chords together, or check out some easy songs. one that i like to play is "wish you were here" by pink floyd. it has the g,c,am, and d chords during the singing. enjoy
