when driving the truck it tends to make a "shug-shug" sound, it chokes and acts like it wants to stall.

what could some of the problems be?

it has had a oil change, and passed testing to run cleaner (etest?) early january 2007

Without running a diagnostic on it, it's hard to say. But there could be a few reasons....

First place I'd check would be the fuel system. If the fuel filter is clogged, that would do it. Also, check your gas cap, if you have a vapor lock, that will cause the truck to want to stall. Check your air filter. If it is restricted or clogged real bad, that could do it. Check and see if there is water or some foreign liquid in your fuel. That could do it.

Spark- Check for a cracked distributor. Check spark plugs to see if they are worn out, or damaged. Check plug wires to see if there is any arcing. Perhaps cracked insulation.

There is a possibility that the fuel pump could be bad.
There is a possibility that an O2 ( oxygen ) sensor is bad.

It could be any number of things. Best remedy, take it to the shop!

try changing the fuel filter it may be getting clogged. O2 sensors can cause this to.

have your mechanic put in on the computer...sounds like a gas/air sensor...or even possibly the injection/fuel system
