In India there's more people than jobs so it is a natural thing that when students graduate and come out there's no job for everyone. Job market needs to improve in order to keep the good ones in India or they just move overseas for opportunity.

We have to create more jobs. Our education is not vocational. We learn English, Maths, Science, History without once thinking how it will help us get a job. Or in what way the History we learn in any way helpful in getting a job as an archaeologist, anthropologist, historian, or any other related job.
Similarly the other subjects to only serve to educate us and instill a sense of superiority in us. We cannot go out and do menial jobs. We lack the expertise or mindset.
So I think emphasis on a degree or II PUC result is fine if you get really high marks and want to become an engineer or doctor. If not the system must be such that a degree is by way of equipping us to go out with some vocational training.

One reason for unemployment of educated persons in India is due to the huge population and second is the lack of quality education in india. The second reason is basic graduation has lost its value because the syllabus in your degree has subjects which were in vogue some 5 decades back. The syllabus is not in sync with the present world.Look at US and western countries where the universities have stae of the art facilities where students are really working hard on technologies which are about to be implemented in the industry there. So it is easy for the students to find a good job and also for employers to hire the best talent.

India is still a developing country. More and more people are educated. Industrial growth is absolutely essential to solve unemployment problem. This problem can be solved at a slow space and no one can expect a miracle in a day. If we keep the present status of progress the present unemployment situation can be solved within a decade There should also be a check on population explosion so as to ensure growth in every sphere.

If there is an announcement 'of educated unemployment', it is not education. Education is for action and actions are to be formulated over all growth. Educated person need not any employment as ultimate aim of man is eating, drinking, sleeping and enjoy the surroundings. His self prestige and pride makes him blind and he thinks that he is 'educated' Education is not only for knowledge, but also for action. Let the educated act, which is lacking in disguise of 'a peculiar probllem or problems'.

Simple rule. Supply exceeds demand. 1.2 billion population and more than 2 million graduates hitting the job market every year. The goverment has a bunch of crooks who do not have any vision or capability to understand the gravity of the situation. Nightmare !!.
