Crowe is a great actor ... I've really enjoyed his films. But can he do "sophisticated" and "restrained"? Asriel seems both and Crowe strikes me as neither.
Ah, well, at least Ms. Velasquez will fill the costume well, though it remains to be seen how she will fair as a blonde.

when is the movie supposed to come out? I heard about the books turning into a movie but I hadn't heard anything about a cast of future release date. the only one I can remember is russel crowe and he was really good in gladiator so i hope this movie is good and doesn't mess up the books.
