is tv tuner card the easiest and quickest way to convert it? my computer is 2 ghz pentium 4. how long would it take to convert a 2 hour tape? is there any quicker way of doing this? thanks to all replies

It's easy if you have a Video Recorder and a DVD Recorder. Just transfer the tape to the dvd recorder.

Using a TV Tuner card would give you Night Mare quality and take hours to complete.
There are camcoders available which take in Video 8 and VHS tapes but are digital and provide digital out.
So get one such cam for a day and connect it to the Firewire port and you can capture it in any format you wish using Ulead Media Studio or even microsoft Movie Macker.
If you dont have a firewire card in your system you can buy a Firewire card and cable for as low as 400 INR but make sure the cable has the correct connector for conneting ur PC and CAM.
