I think reservation should be given to the students not on caste basis but on financial basis. There is no wrong that reservations are helping poor people but the rich people in Universities, NIT's, IIT's are also given reservations. Instead our government should provide reservation facility for students whose parents are unable to educate them even if they are talented because of poverty. So govt. should provide reservation facility on basis of merit and financial status. Then only the reason for which Dr.B.R.Ambedkar proposed reservations will be fulfilled.

If the student is from a very poor back ground he can be encouraged, but there should be a cut off marks average.
And if that seat remains vacant a student on merit basis should be given that seat.
Now such reserved seats are given to students with minimum marks while giving seats in reserved quota. This is not good for courses which lead to responsible jobs.50 % marks should be accepted as minimum even for reservation seats.
