Yes, I think it's fine. I'm 14 and I had my ears pierced a couple of months after my 10th birthday (my mother had initially wanted me to wait until I was 12, but apparently I was responsible enough to care for them then, so that was when I got them done).
There are some things you should know beforehand though:
1. Only get one piercing through each ear lobe - the fleshy part at the bottom. Wait until you're at least 15 before considering a second lobe piercing or another piercing somewhere on your ears, otherwise it looks a little tacky on a younger teen.
2. Go to a piercing shop that will pierce your ear with a sterilized needle. This means it the piercer should wear gloves and will remove the needle from a small sterilized plastic strip, and dispose of it straight after piercing.
3. After piercing, you should get a sheet from the piercer instructing you on caring for your newly pierced ears. If not, make sure you at least buy a bottle of Ear Care antiseptic (available at pharmacies/drugstores everywhere). Follow the instructions on the back of the bottle.
4. It's good to turn the stud around in your ear say, twice a day to keep the hole open - a fresh piercing is still susceptible to closing over even after a year has past. But don't touch it too much, otherwise it'll increase the chances of getting infected. I have one piercing in each ear lobe and they have been infected five times. It's painful, messy, and swollen - take care of them!
5. Whatever you do, whatever anyone else tells you, keep the original studs in for FOUR WEEKS at the absolute MINIMUM. After that time you can take them out and change them with other studs, sleepers etc. And even after you take them out, wear sleepers while you sleep (the name's pretty obvious!) because like I said, they close up fast!!
Don't be nervous! Have a great birthday and enjoy your new ear piercings!

Happy birthday sweety. You can get your ears pierced without any problems. Just dont let them without earings for a long time, otherwise you might have to get them pierced again.

i think you should do it....if you like jewelry then go for it...you just don't see many earrings for non-pierced ears, and the few that are out there are really painful to wear for any length of time....know that it will hurt for a good week ...i remember when i got mine done i couldn't sleep laying on my side cuz it hurt so bad to have any pressure on my ears...i had trouble using the phone too!....but i think it's totally worth it without a doubt!!

Get it done but only get one hole in each other. Any more than that and it looks tacky.
