Yes and it is the rich that run the world, every body talks but no one really care about them poor third world people, Take a look at the WEF at Davos in Switzerland, lots of very rich people wasting tonnes of energy to warm up big outside tents so all the rich politicians could have a winter BBQ out side with out getting cold and all of them arriving by private jets with a half dozen body guards . Imagine how much energy would have been saved if they had all done a video conference, But then the Swiss would not have made all that money having them to tea at Davos.

Because the rich nations are a big part of the problem! Rich nations use most of the energy generated, cause most of the emission gases. Rich households consume the most and generate more garbage than poor households. Roch nations counts the most cars, take the plane more often than poor people do. Rich countries dump their waste into a poor man's backyard, etc.
THAT is why.

Rich people have almost always run everything. They can hire armies to do their dirty work. It is the way things are. Blessed in spirit are the poor. But the wealthy live in warm palaces and get most of the goodies.

Greed is a terrible thing. If you are in USA, get your leaders to do something more positive - they set a very bad example to the world.
