In layman terms:

Actually it all depends - some routers have their proprietary cables - normally they are crossed cables.

However with the reply "just another yahoo freak" gave, the problem that may arise is the security aspect in one single router.

instead of useing 2 routers buy a router with more ports for more computers, they are only a few more dollars..www.dalco.com

They were designed to be connected to another device.

Most these days are auto sensing anyway, so it wouldn't matter.
