Just bought it last Tuesday but found it later that it only runs on 32 bit. I thought vista runs in 64 bit. Is there any possibility that i can upgrade it to 64 bit? If there is, how?

To use a 64-bit operating system you processor has to be 64-bit capable.
Please tell us what processor you have.

Also, some of your favorite programs might not work if there is not a 64-bit version available.

First you must know the type of processor in your laptop. Most of the New AMD Athlon proceesor support 64-bit type, Intel duo core processor only got 32-bit, and Intel core 2 duo was 64-bit type of processor too.

Your laptop won't help 64bit in any respect. till your working extra then 3 gigs of ram then i does not advise Win7-sixty 4 bit version. @challenge EX: Please do no longer spout nonsense you do no longer understand. no longer all processors run in sixty 4 bits. Laptops moved into sixty 4 bits plenty latter then computers so that is totally achieveable his laptop won't run a sixty 4 bit working device. Why do you think of they are liberating a 32 bit Win7?
