Do you know any women who has funny beliefs or practices when they are having their menses?

Ok I have heard lots of funny beliefs and practice adopted by some women when they have their menses. Some women will wash clean their stained sanitary napkin before throwing it as they believe the fresh blood will attract ghosts or supernatural things. Another person I know insist on mopping the whole house when a woman who s having her period drops by due to bad aura.

I know that if a woman drops some blood of her period to something that the man she likes, drinks, then he will be forever hers.

In some ancient African tribes women with the period were isolated in houses built outside of the village, because this was thought to be a state of impurity.

I guess people in the past had many superstitions, but we are over it in the 21st century... aren't we? :-)

yes i can remember my woman in my family teling us when you have the menses not to touch fruit or veg as it may rot or even not to wash your head after you are finished as something might happen to your head or eyesight. thank heavens that i dont beleive in them anymore because in nowadays world its impossible to wait for so long.

Candy, cake, cookies and other homemade goodies, won't turn out right when you're on your period, not sure why, but it's true.

my mom told me never to touch or water the houseplants at that time or they would die....it's funny but she managed to ingrain it in me, i know it's ridiculous and they won't die but i don't take any chances either!

this is kinda related in a way... i heard that if you think you are pregnant you can inject a rabbit with your blood , if it dies you are pregant...it sounds stupid, who would do that????
