Hey, I liked that book! :p
With a boring book, the best thing to do is just read a chapter at a time. That way you don't reach the point where you're reading but not paying attention, and you still get enough done at a time to make progress. Just take at least a 10-15 minute break after every chapter, maybe have a snack or check Yahoo! Answers, just don't watch TV or do anything too terribly involved that might distract you from reading it. Turning on music helps too, although I can't help you with what kind of music to listen to - everyone's different, and whiel you may want to listen to something invigorating to keep you going you may prefer something relaxing. Either can help, though. Good luck, and I sincerely hope you grow to like the book more!

I know this may not sound very helpful, but I used to have a freind who would read a 'boring' book from the end to the start, (like, start at the last chapter, then go back to the second last, third last, etc.)
Or she would open it up in the middle and read from there. Then go back to the start and re-read it.
Well, it helped her, but everyone's different...

1. try to imagine that you are the character of the book.
2. try not to think that it is a boring book
3. take a break in between every chapter so that you wont feel drowsy. maybe a 5 mins walk..
