Failure, he didn't even land where he was planning on. I mean come on, someone would have eventually ran into this huge island called North America!!!

Depends on how you look at it.On one had, Old World met New World in significant fashion after his "discovery", on the other, he didn't find the place he was looking for, died in disgrace somewhat, caused misery and grief for two groups of people, and didn't make any significant contributions to the better of these people.

The jury is out until we know exactly who was the first to discover America and the more information that comes to light,the less likely it seems that it was he.

yes and no he was a faiure he didnt find asia he was a success in finding america.
