you are not going to be living with your parents forever ( if you are now) but maybe they are trying to help you make a descision or avoid something else down the road. My parents always give advice if asked but respect my decisions. Take a step back and listen to what they have to say for a minute. Do they have a point? If you still feel they are wrong they should eventually respect your decision.

Neither. It should never boil down to whom you'd choose or disown. In other words, why choose? Parents and lovers are parallel angles to the same journey. I think it's the perfect example of having your own cake and eating it. It's possible to keep them both.

In general I would choose my Lover (Husband) over my parents.
