Kobe is the best player in the NBA whether you like him or not. You can think he's arrogant, selfish, a rapist, or whatever but it doesn't change the fact that he is the best player in the NBA. The reasons being
1.) Best Scorer
-Strong Handle
-Excellent Range and Best Shot Form
-Best Footwork
-Leaping Ability
-Best Body Control/Grace/Coordination
-Most Creative Range of Moves
2.) Best Clutch Shooter
-Most Game Winners in NBA
3.) Top Defender
-Multiple All Defensive Selections
4.) Excellent Passer
-Some of the best looking no look passes in NBA
-Ball Hogs don't average 5 assists a game remeber Kobe is not a PG
-Assist #'s are on par with Jordan
5.) One of the Top Dunkers
-Dunk Championship
-Posterized Wallace, Ming, Robinson, Duncan, Howard, and too many to name
6.) Most Intimidating for other players
-Most players and coaches admit Kobe is the best including Shaq, Amare, and Pat Riley.
-Even Lebron has said he does things on the court I'm not ab

Sorry, but Kobe isnt the best. He's great (and as a complete hater of the lakers its hard for me to admit it). But the best player is Dirk Nowitzki!
He's helped the Mavs rally back from a crushing loss last year in the Finals and have them at the best record in the NBA.
I think Kobe is good. But i think he got where did cuz of Shaq. I mean ever since Shaq left where have the Lakers gone in the postseason? Kobe has been consistent, he's become less of a ball hog, but a great player can take your team places. And Kobe hasnt gotten there yet.
Dirk HAS TO BE the 2006-07 NBA MVP
he deserved a starting all-star spot too, but got robbed by Duncan....i hate the spurs

1) Hands down Kobe. He could lead the league in scoring easily if he wanted to but he knows that with his current team that won't lead to a championship.
2) Kobe is like Jordan. They want to win but what they want to do more is make you lose. Also have to put under here that he can make his free throws during crunch time.
3) Kobe. He's a perennial all defense selection.
4) Kobe knows how to pass but will his teammates bury the shot?
5) Kobe dunks a lot but that shouldn't matter too much other than it's an easy 2 points.
6) A motivated Kobe is a scary sight. Too bad Kobe hasn't found his Cleveland Cavaliers like Jordan had.

I would say Kobe Probably is the best, but not by allot there is a few others very close in talent to Kobe.
T-Mac - he is always in control and dominates a game even when he is not scoring allot either by rebounds, drawing defensive attention and more.
Steve Nash - I mean god what can this white boy not do?
Dirk - well he has his good and bad nights but overall he dominates.
The "Truth" (if you dont know look it up) -he is my pick as one who is very close and maybe even better. Only thing I have to say is you take him off his team and they go from a playoff bubble team to winning maybe 15 games in a season. Need I say more? Compare anyone else and there is no player with that much impact in the NBA maybe in history.

You answered your own question!
BUT anyway, I agree. KOBE BRYANT has finally learned how to play team basketball and his maturity and leadership are getting better. As the star of the team, he's also a driving force for all the other 11 players to improve. That's what makes him really good. Individually, no one can compare. Team basis, Nash or Nowitzki are definite MVP contenders. But Kobe is the best player.

finally, someone who understands basketball enough.
kobe is the best and thats all their is to it . he will posterize annyone in his way to the basket, his body controll is out of this world his ball-handling skillz are so good he could be a superstar point guard(in your face stupid derrick fisher who left the lakers 3 years ago).his leaping ability is so ridiculous. wat else do you want. he does evrything you can possibly dream of and more!!!!!
so easily kobe is my favorite and he is no question the best player in the nba. and he is on pace to be better than jordan.
That kobe bryant is almost as good as me.
