At your new job, how do you respond if your work colleague is so annoying?

Hi people,
I've started a new job and my work colleague is a pric*.... He continuously annoys me and tries to catch any wrong word i say or anything i do.. That's a new job and i dont wanna get it in to it so much. Coz thats what he wants... And i am not a riposte person.. He constantly annoys me...

Couldnt say anything to him yet coz he gets on very well with the boss!!!!!!!!

1. Just keep smile
2. Do instantly what he want (but some are depends on you which is very personal thing)
3. Try to guess what he needs.
4. Work honestly, try to accomplish your work smoothly (100%)
5. Make an intelligent solution in your work area.

If he wants irrelevant things other then work then you have no way to manage him. He always will be unmanageable. Then look another job and quit the current job.

From what it seems, he may either feel like you're a threat. (You could possibly be a strong player in the field without knowing it). Or plainly immature. My advise is don't let your emotions get in the way of work, stay professional and objective. If he is in good relations with your boss, I'd really advise you to keep your cool because you wouldnt want to burn more than 1 opportunity at 1 go.

Ben-there ( not done that ) There is no easy answer...THIS HAPPENED TO ME! He may be only trying to test you...Be polite to the boss,Kiss up to your co-workers. There is SAFETY in numbers. Do what they do,make friends,make friends with other bosses.Your co-workers are paranoid! All over money,or spite. Look for a new job even if you stay there 20 years! You may be happier some place else-You can be fired just because they bo not like you!
