Cause on some websites,they say they aren't and said they're counted as rock.Is it True?Well to me,they're alternative rock/screamo/punk/emo combined all together.Am I right,or am I wrong?Anyways I hope u guys don't reply anything mean cause I'm just curious of what music category they belong to and I truly truly love their songs.I think they were the best band ever to make "rock" music and gotta love the lead singer's voice,I do find it really sexy!Hope I'm not the only 1 who thinks that.

Emo/Screamo is not what most people think. Emo is a form of hardcore punk which died about 15 years ago, believe it or not. Screamo is its subgenre, not a term used to describe bands with screaming vocals.

You are right.Their genre is rock.But rock have a lot of styles.And Story Of The Year's style is emo/punk revival/screamo/post grunge (according to Allmusic).
