Jelena L. has the right idea. Australians celebrate Christmas on December 25, except some of the Orthodox Christians who follow the other calendar which corresponds to be likened to December 25. Nobody celebrates Christmas in February. Maybe you are thinking of New Year's? Chinese New Year's in in February. Australia has different timings of the seasons, not holidays. Well except for the Queen's Birthday which is celebrated in April. We celebrate her Birthday in May in Canada.

1st, nobody celebrates Christmas in February!
There are two dates generally for Christmas:
1. according to Julian calender, "new" calender, it's December 25, for all Christians except Orthodox (but Greek church, although Orthodox, is using this new calender)
2. according to Gregorian calender, it's January 7 (all Orthodox churches except mentioned Greeks).
According to: Ihttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Australia, in Australia there is 26,6% roman catholics, Anglicans 20,7%, and other Christians 20,7%.
So for majority of Christians in the world and in Australia too, Christmas is on December 25.
