Hi, i am knitting a simple scarf using garter stitch and have casted on 20 stitched initially. I am nearing the end of my first ball of wool and am wondering how do i continue with the second ball?

Thanks,
A beginner knitter

Typically you can just start knitting with the new yarn and weave in the ends when you have finished. When i was a beginning knitter I also tied the old and new strands together to make it easier. Other joining techniques can be found on this website: http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php about half way down the page. http://knittinghelp.com is a good resource in general for learning new techniques in knitting and the videos are great! Best of luck with your scarf!

Just tie it to the end of the first thread with a square knot and keep on knitting it will just blend in. If you don't know how to tie a square knot just look it up in go ogle or on some sight with nautical rope tying.
