so basically i can tell that blockbuster just buys dvds rents them out and then sells them as if they were new because they don't remove the top label. they can easily open the cover without removing the top taping. they do remove the wrapping, but they can rewrap it themselves. my friend works at a video store so he knows. anyways so block buster i think forgot to put the dvd in the dvd case and then they wraped up the box.

so my present came with no dvd.

think about how it will make me look. do you think they think i took it? i didn't take it. it's just an old movie. but what should i do?

I work at a Borders and we have this happen, not a lot but it has happened before. Just go to the front desk and explain the situation to them. Let them know that you recieved this as a gift and once you opened it you discovered that their was no disc inside and see what they can do for you. If they don'thave the dvd in stock ask if they can order for you and if they can't ask for store credit.

if it was a present, try explaining to the person who gave it to you what happened. if not, see if they can tell you which blockbuster sold it. 9 out of 10 time, if the store manager is a person who listens, you can get your disk. after all, they are all about satisfying the customer. if not, then i think you are up a creek without a paddle. sorry.

take it back, most corporations worrie more about getting coustomer revenu than worry about who is lying or not and trying to rob them, it seemsl ike a mistake that could of been made alot so id think now would be a better time than any to take care of the problem.
