I fully understood the reasoning as to why she wore the prosthetic. But the size was an obvious difference that anyone who was close to her would have picked up on.

I agree that Leia remembering her real mother while Luke couldn't was odd too. No one has memories of the exact moment they were born. Even watching Return of the Jedi when it first came out, that part made no sense.

damn I've never noticed that but I'll definitely take another look at that. Sounds like they slipped up on something.

It's called a continuity error, and a certain type of ..... erm...... trainspotter lives for that kind of thing!

In 'Return of the Jedi' (made long before the events portrayed in 'Sith'), Leia says she can remember images of her real mother, whereas Luke can't. That makes little sense either.....
Still, I guess that's what happens when you take 13 hours (over 25 years) to tell a 2-hour story!

All good answers so far. One word to Bart though: When Leia said she remembered her mother as being beautiful but sad, isn't it possible she was refering to her adoptive mother, Senator Organa's wife? It's never specifically stated that Leia knew she was adopted.

But as to Padme's funeral scene, it's either an editing slip or maybe the way her burial dress raised up when she was laying down :)

I think it was the emphasis to prove to those around her she did not give birth before she died. Hence helping to keep her children hidden.
