If i get xbox live will it cost extra for my brother to have a profile too, if so how much?

Yes, it's a whole separate subscription...so double the price of one if there are two profiles.

you have to buy another xbox live subscription

if you have the xbox 360 you can both play on it at the same time and only need one gamertag i think you can have up to three other people play with you

sell it and buy a PS3, way better games
