I bought a dress online that has all my measurements right except that the bust is three inches bigger than my bust. And of course, my kind of luck, there's no tailors in my region, so I figured out a good way to make it fit. First I get a bra that's the right bust size, then I buy those silicon inserts that enhance your bust size *not implants, inserts*. But first I need to know, what size bra would someone with a 39.5" bust wear?

It depends on your under bust measurement, but if you are 39.5 inches around the bust, we'll round that up to 40 inches and you can try the following: 34DDD (34F), 36D, 38B.

Unless you are completely flat chested, you won't be a 40 on the band size! The band size has nothing to do with the bust measurement, as some people seem to be confused posting above.

Well it depends on how wide you are around the back. The letter in the bra size represents the cup size, and the number represents the size around the back. So giving a measurement of what i pressume is taken from all the way around your bust, you can't tell at all. If you go into Myer or anywhere that sells bra's you can get properly fitted which is the best thing to do. Most people get it wrong on their own. Just ask one of the workers (preferbly a women).

Go to some place where they will help you like a 1st rate lingerie store. Find a sales clerk whose size is about the same. Then level with the sales clerk. If they work in a store like that they won't be ashamed to talk about size, and help you get the right fit because they certainly understand the importance of an excellent fit, and understand the importance of a special gift. Some would even model the bra for you.

Go with 40, rather than just a 38 (the 38 would be much too tight)and perhaps even a 42. Then determine whether you would need an A, B, C, D, or DD.

You go, you voluptuous girl !!!
