As the Corvette is rear wheel drive, and your Monte is FWD, it would be VERY expensive to do this swap. You could buy a Corvette for what it would cost.

If you want to keep the FWD in your Monte then the answer is no...forget about it. However if you want to change your car to RWD then it's feasible. However it won't be cheap. If you want a V-8 powered Monte Carlo then buy a new one. They are now available with the V-8 and FWD right from the factory and lots cheaper than the conversion you are considering.

You can do it but it would cost a mint. You are trying to turn a fwd car into a rwd car there a some builders that will do it for you if you have a very large checkbook. Buy a Camaro or Vette you will be a lot happier

well you have to take into consideration. its an LT1 right?? Lots of power???? Is your friend a lead foot. Cause every foot of that 147000 may be hot rodded. If so then it wouldn last much longer. But it sounds good!!!

Sure its possible, you would have a unique, but expensive ride when you are done. Any likely wouldn't get your investment back if you sold it.

yeah, but only in you got lots of money to throw away, you would be better just to buy and actual corvet,cuz what you wanna do wont make it much better, and itl be EXPENSIVE. so yeah , good luck anyways
