I simply want to know what the IQ scale is. What is "moron" what is "imbecile" what is "genius" and so on. I saw this question in here already but didn't get the answer that I was looking for.

Even psychologists, while agreeing that there is a strong correlation between "genius", and IQ scores, say many other factors play a significant role. For this reason, there is no "by the book" IQ figure where genius begins, although the mostly commonly accepted figure seems to be around 145 (Weschler). That represents roughly 1 person in 741, or just a few geniuses in a typical high school. The link given shows percentile and rarity for different IQ scores all the way up to IQ 202, which has a rarity of approximately 1 in 190 BILLION, which is why nobody has ever been tested to have an IQ of over 200.

Genius comes from the Arabic word jinn which means spirit. A genius is a person with distinguished mental prowess. This can manifest either as a foremost intellect, or as an outstanding creative talent. The IQ of a genius is usually defined as 140 or above. Also.. Wnston Churchill might be(and was) considered a genius for statesmanship....Maradona may be said to have a genius for soccer.... thus...A genius is a person with distinguished mental abilities. This can manifest either as a foremost intellect, or as an outstanding creative talent.

Mental disability is under 70, average is between 90-110, and "genius" is over like 130. That's what I learned in high school psychology anyway.

A standardized IQ test shouldn't produce 180, from what I know, unless you're a severe genius...I'm not sure. But on this site, there's a chart you can check out.

I think somebody with a IQ of over 180 is considered very intelligent, 90 to 120 is around average, below that would be considered well lets say a bit lacking in knowledge.

Naters has it right, the scale only goes to 200. Some children hit 200 before most goto high school.
