If I worked, I would do four 10-hour days in a heartbeat. It's actually quite popular where I live, and I know a lot of people who have that work schedule.
I have worked 10-hour shifts before, and they are really not that much different from a standard 8-hour shift. I imagine you would get used to them in no time if you did it every day. And three days off in a row is great, too. I imagine quite a few people would jump at the chance. It's too bad the US, where I live, is so into the 40 hour, 8-5 work week. I have read that other countries with different setups have the same or greater productivity, but often work less hours.

I would, but I would work 4-10's and take Wednesday off instead of having the 3 day weekends. That way I would never have to work more than two days in a row.

I woudl prefer it. I have worked both the regular 5 day week and the 4 day week. The 4 day seems to go quicker and more gets done. The upside is that I have more time for myself and a 3 day weekend every week. I see this as a good thing.

yes, you have more days off to do what you want. I work 3 12 hour shifts and love it. I have 4 days off every week. you don't get a lot done on the days you work except work, eat, sleep but then you can do whatever you want the other days. Wouldn't you love to have 3 day w/e's every week!!!!

More than half my staff want to go to the 4 x 10 schedule. Unfortunately no one wants a day off in the middle of the week; I cannot have half gone on Friday and half gone on Monday.

Yes it is a great schedule, because you can take your first day off to really rest and or get things done, and still have two days to enjoy, when you work a 5 day week to often you only use one day if that to relax.

My Mr. has been on this schedule for 13-14 years now. We live here in America. We are very used to this schedule.
It is nice to have such a long weekend.

my workplace does this over the 2 months of summer (July & august).
During the school years (sept to june) it goes back to regular 5x 8 hour weeks.
