Why is it now depending on which country you live in determines how obese you will be! i mean think about Australia & America the 2 countries leading in obesity in chilren & adults are sky rocketing every year we get bigger!! Why do people love to eat JUNK?? You look at other countries, India, China, Russia, Spain, etc their countries are not obese people & these people eat much healthier than us,live an amazing life of happiness, its amazing when you see different cultures in countries/ nations their way of eating is a much healthier & basic concept, they have no drive thru's hey!!

My question to you is: Do you think your diet (whether good or bad) is because of where you live in the world ?

P.s: if this question dont make sense 2ya , dont worry lol, alot of things i ask i question! But thankx 4 understanding...cheers ;)

Americans have poor self control it seems. The advertising really sucks people in, too. I don't know if they push ads like that so much in other places of the world. Everything is so addicting, too. Mmm, I'm gunna go eat some junk food now.

I believe that where you live in a way does influence obesity - western diet, but I think that lifestyle is the biggest contributer to obesity at least in Australia. Too many highly processed / refined foods are consumed because it is quick and easy. This combined with a lack of exercise make us an obese nations

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. It is not one single thing here in America that lends itself to making people fat but many. One, there is way too much. And Americans have this social brainwashing that if it ain't big, it ain't no good. Look at the lates Subway vs Quiznos ads. They make the Subway sandwich seem bad because there is not meat busting out of every corner. That is why you are encourage to super size it for only .49 cent more. American love buffets. They can eat, and eat, and eat all they want for the cost of one plate. The restaurants encourage over eatting because they serve the food on large plates or platters.

American(specially the kids)have gotten way more lazier. Either they spend most of the time on their fat little a***s playing video games or they don't want to do anything physical because it will mess up their hair or cause them to sweat. Hard to impress the opposite sex when you sweat away your designer fragrance. Kids are more into trying to get into each other's undies than playing a spirited 3 out of 5 pick up b-ball tournament.

Fat is BIG business(no pun intended). If they can convince you that you can eat ANYTHING you want, and not have to come with in 300 yards of a gym and still look like a Bay watch babe, they will get many to buy it.

It also helps out the medical and pharmaceutical industy. Along with fat you have diabetes, high blood presure, heart desease and who knows what else. So you can sell more drugs to combat the damage fat is doing to your system by over working it,

The corn industry had good lobbyist. Somewhere around the late 70s to early 80s high fructose corn syrup started getting into a lot of food, mostly those processed fast microwaveable foods(the kind most people eat because they are too lazy to cook from scratch or was never taught).

And, yeah, as one poster said. Here in America we have no self-control. Like what Freddy Murcury wrote in a song: "I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it NOW!"
