Take a pillion and take it easy until you and the pillion have got used to it
Try to take someone that won't act up in any way. They could put you at risk
Ride safely and keep the rubber on the road and the shiny side up

Get an experienced pillion to show you how it's done first. Then get them to act like an inexperienced pillion. This will prepare you for when you take a newbie out for a ride and they do something really unpredictable when cornering.

take someone who can relax, who is prepared to let you have controle of the bike, as a bad pillion can take the controle from you and, if they starl leaning the wrong way get them off the bike as they will end up offing you both.

for the first few times i would say DEFINITELY take an experienced pillion passenger ..they have to lean with you ..if not it will really cause you handling problems ..the first time i took a first timer .it nearly caused an accident

I would take some who has experience first, preferably some one not too heavy (my mate nearly twice my size and it does make a big difference when your riding) and take your time especially in the corners. And most of all stay relaxed and enjoy it.

It doesn't matter as long as you take someone who can follow your instructions. You should tell them to keep their feet on the pegs, don't help drive, lean only when and as far as you do, don't fall off, don't squeeze the oxygen out of you, and don't scream louder than the pipes. That should eliminate most issues.

I would tend to take an experienced one so they dont make the handling worse!! There is always the option to borrow a small person for a bit to try it out!!

So long as they don't try to lean around you to see where you are going, or put their feet down whenever you stop, then you'll be fine. If they complain about how you ride, they can always walk.
