I recently finished an excellent first-hand account of the war, written by a soldier that served there. It's called "My War: Killing Time in Iraq" by Colby Buzzell. Very honest and explicit, I couldn't put it down.

One of Saddam's top generals, Georges Sada, wrote a very enlightening book. I think it is called "Saddam's Secrets".

You can get this at Borders or Amazon.

Also, I don't think it is in book form yet, but this past Summer a report was read to Congress explaining that we had found over 500 of the chemical weapon warheads that the UN inspectors could not find. It turns out Saddam really was hiding the goods.

Also not yet in book form - Saddam's own tapes of his cabinet sessions revealing that he had a hidden uranium enrichment program.

When President Clinton made the decision to eliminate Saddam by force and install a new government in Iraq, he made it clear that Saddam had defied the cease-fire and that all diplomatic options had failed. Clinton's bombing campaign in 1998 failed to eliminate Saddam so Al Gore and GW Bush both campaigned on the promise to finish the job. Bush got elected so he followed through with that promise.

Failed State(Chomsky) provide some sharp criticisms, but be careful not to worship this book. Although it is good, one might walk away thinking America is evil even though that's not exactly the author's point.

And yea that dude called you ugly. Actually using a full name here?

You may want to read author Thomas E. Ricks' book called 'Fiasco: The American Military Adventure in Iraq'.
You can go to amazon.com to see his interview video, and read his written interview. Stay well-informed!

"Imperial Ambitions" by Noam Chomsky.

Most of Noam Chomsky's books are really informative with regards to the war in Iraq.
