In a nutshell, because they see you as different from the norm.
Certainly doesn't make it right, it's human nature to be fearful of something which is "different" from the rest of "normal" society..although having said that, what can be classed as normal in todays multi-culturl, multi-sexual society..?
Try not to worry about it, it's hard, but try not to.

They are simply not mature enough to see the person behind the label. These people just need to grow up and see that you are not goign to force your sexuality on them and that you are just a normal human being! When you think about it you're only spending a small percentage of your life with these people so don't let them get to you. The best way to get back at them is to work hard and succeed both in school and in life, tuen it into something positive!

people still of school age arent mature enough to get there heads around the whole-gay-lesbian-bi- thing.u never know sum of them cud be gay or bi but want to stay in with the " in crowd " and not dare say a word because they no wat stigma is attatched,unlike you,u have told people which is the best thing to do,be honest and open!!! stay strong! and ignore them!

because you are in school and many of us who are still in school are still children in many ways. Dont worry school does not last and then you dont have see them again

Its their lack of understanding, basically its ignorance and fear which in this day and age seems very silly.

fear i guess that you will find them attractive and try it on with them, its important to look cool in school and not show your true feelings to others.
