Hmmmm... I took the test a LONG time ago (probably varies significantly from state to state)... I don't remember any specifics about math, but it's probably just to help you with general math questions...

Were you given a trainee study manual or guide? If so, browse through it again and see what you might find there. If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

You might try stopping by your local Animal Control office and talk to one of the officers. They can help you understand why there would be math involved. They can also help you understand any other factors regarding the test or job since they are currently working and would have the latest information.
