tell them they can't have them waving outside but put them in their own houses? I resent it totally? What about you? After all it is not their soldiers over there? And especially a flag from Iran, or any of those horrible places flags should not be displayed outside on their cars or windows or anywhere! That is not our country and they need to take those home, don't you think?

It is a right of any US citizen to display whatever flag they choose. It doesn't mean some of the public would have to agree with seeing certain flags being displayed, such as the nazi flag, the stars and bars of the Confederacy, or even the hammer and sickle flag of the old Soviet Union. But we all have the right of political self-determination. We may strongly hate what their flag stands for, and even others (Even tho' I strongly disagree with this) could burn a US flag. For every right and freedom comes responsibility that will cause a reaction. If someone isn't sensitive to how, where or when they fly a certain flag, it could cause a chaos or even a riot. During the Vietnam War, people in northern California flew Viet Cong flags even tho' our troops were still fighting. Some people even painted that flag in the middle of an intersection in Berkeley, California. It was their right even though many people strongly disagreed.

Any flag can be displayed in this country. A flag from a foreign land can be hung in Times Square, as long as you realize the location of the Square, which is The United States of America. That flag should be hung above all others.

Our nation is strong enough to tolerate North Korea running advertisements in our newspapers, al Qaeda sending us videos, outraged citizens writing outraged letters to our newspapers, and darn near anything else. We can certainly deal with any flag flying anywhere. Won't hurt a thing.
