The crabs on the beach are tiny & soft. They hide out of the sun all day & at nite will run from anything bigger than they are. There are larger blue crabs that can hurt (but not seriously harm) you, but they are found in swamps & mangroves -- seldom on any of the public beaches. (When I was a kid & every inch of shoreline was not lined with condominiums things were different, & we could routinely hunt blue crabs even on Miami Beach)

Generally they scuttle away as fast as they can when they notice people. Except Hawthorne from Sherman's Lagoon who loves to pinch toes but then he's a cartoon crab, that's not real!

They generally avoid people, because indeed it is humans who are dangerous to crabs. They could bite, if they can't help it, if someone tries to catch them or sth.

No. Crab are timid and move out of the way. Jelly fish are harmful to humans walking barefoot though. Watch where you step if one washes up on shore.

they are very tiny and run away . you may not even see them if you are not out in eve. or early am. PLUS DO NOT SWIM IN OCEAN BEFORE 11am or AFTER5PM and watch your tides. Have a great time.

only if you annoy them or step on them- they are also in the ocean so be careful where you step. They pinch hard
