If you learn and use mathematics are you a slave to math? If you learn and use physics are you a slave to physics? If you learn and use English are you a slave to English?
The answer is no to all of them. They are merely tools of expression and understanding of certains ways of describing and understanding our world.
English is as much a melting pot of languages as much as America is a melting pot of the world's ethnicities, religions and people. If you don't want to do business with America you don't have to speak English.
P.S. Try to view the world in a more positive way. ;)

It's the economics of globalization and a history of colonization. It's a difficult battle to preserve culture, but I'm (from U.S.) thankful the computer expert (Indian) that helped me with my computer via telephone recently knew English.

What a ridiculous question! A language is a tool; you're only its slave if you conceive of yourself as such.
Are we Anglo-Saxons slaves to the Romansh vocabulary of our native Germanic tongue?

we already r slaves and we r dominated by this language.
but as long as it is helping us in communicating with each other and improving our knowledge why should we bother?
but aping the west in every way is not really necessary.
this english 'mommy daddy 'culture is so artificial and unnatural to us indians.
we should refrain from the same.
and as long as we don't forget our roots and culture there is nothing wrong in adapting to any language.
one bright point is that we have our very own 'hinglish!' which is very indian! :-)
