when you believe in something or someone so much, and they let you down in ways you thought were not even possible, you feel then that you have lost them or yourself or everything around you for that matter, you feel that you don't belong anymore there!
try to detach yourself from this situation as fast as you can so you can go back on track and resume your life peacefully!
Best Wishes...

Life changes (good and bad) can lead people to the lost feeling.

Each life change is saying good-bye to a familiar way of living, and adjusting to a new way of living. As a baby, you had to grow from being an infant to a toddler ... ect-ect-ect ...

Even marriage will change your life status and its normal to feel lost. This is merging two lives into one. No matter how compatible the couple is, well, there is always compromise that takes place and lives adjust. Withing marriage is having babies which can also change a persons status in life, and create a lost feeling.

Another big time in ones life is when they lose a parent and become an orphan. Sounds weird but the loss of a parent can turn a 60 year old into a toddler; and they'll be mega lost figuring out how to live without the parents.

Basically, any life changing event (dating, breaking up, graduating, college, new jobs, school, moving, retirement ... ect).

-------------------
You get out by exploring your new role ... don't be afraid to fail ... just start reaching for what you want ... if you don't get it then try different approaches ... keep trying. Eventually, you'll be back on top about ready to be knocked down again; in order to keep growing and achieving more.

1. Look back on your life and decide, where you may have taken the wrong turn.

2. Ask yourself, "what do I really want out of life.

I felt like that for a couple of years.
I was driving a dry cleaning van through the streets of Melbourne.
I wanted to get out of the rat race.

I prayed about it and promptly broke my leg.
I was so cross. But it gave me time to sit and re-evaluate the direction in which I was going.

The I made a few decisions without any pressure from anyone else.
Best thing I ever did.

That I would not change but I still have not done anything I wanted to do with my life and the window is getting smaller every year. I would love to go to college but he is my first priority and he is having trouble with school so by the time I finnish helping him with his homework it doesn't leave much time for me. Sometimes I just feel like a failure

I guess it's that feeling of hopelessness and uncertainty that make you feel that way often because of yourself. I have those days where all i wanna do is just hurt myself in the sense that I have made so many mistakes that I have no idea what I'm doing right now.

When you live your life based on other peoples standards rather than your own. You have lost yourself when you no can longer follow your heart and mind.
Get rid of the job, person, situation you are in that makes you feel powerless.

Joshua Kane symbolizes the fundamental facelessness of contemporary man and depicts himself as living among millions of strangers whose face he does not even recognize. Joshua Kane trades his skin for handmade papers and is reduced to the voyeuristic gaze as he conveys his bleak message.

This generally happens when you put the opinions and concerns of another before your own. Find your truth and stick to it.
