It's normal for women to have a discharge. The vagina is just cleansing itself. The problem lies only when it becomes excessive due to an overgrowth of yeast or vaginitis. I am prone to yeast infections as well. There are some things that make it worse such as wearing nylon panties (cotton is best because it breathes), tight jeans and panty hose. The more heat that is retained around your groin, the more apt you'll be to get yeast infections because yeast thrives on warm environments. Also cutting down on sugar will help. Hormones also play a part. If you wear cotton undies and loose clothing but still get alot of infections, go see your Doctor. Sometimes undiagnosed diabetes can cause frequent yeast infections, so get that ruled out. One last thing, I used to use monistat cream to cure them up but it can be expensive. Try unflavored yogurt with active cultures. Fill disposable plungers like the ones that come with monistat with yogurt and freeze them. It may feel cold when inserted but this works just as well as monistat and is much cheaper! Good luck.

my gf always has a lot too, especially when she ovulates. It's enough that if she doesn't wear a pad or pantyliner that it would soak her pants and you would see a wetspot, and when she gets turned on, it's enough that it will run down her leg. Personally I think it's fantastic and I can't get enough of it. She has also had a few yeast infections and I think it's because when the area is so moist it makes a good breeding ground for bacteria. Discharge could be a result of a yeast infection, but I think if you have a lot of normal(the clear watery kind) discharge, that it could make you more prone to getting one. My gf's doctor said to wear cotton panties to get plenty of airflow, and also to sleep without any panties on for the same reason, oh and eat plenty of yogurt. She hasn't had any problems since, but I would still reccommend talking to your doctor about it.
EDIT: I see gail beat me to the yogurt thing. one of the other things I heard is that buttermilk has the same active cultures in it as yogurt, and you can soak a tampon in buttermilk and put that in for 10-15 minutes.

you body is obviously trying to cleanse itself. it could be medical. when is the last time you had a pap done? any other med issues?
of course, some people just naturally have more discharge than others. but you might want to have a full exam *at least vaginally* to make sure you don't have a serious infection or std.
good luck

One of my exes had chlymydia & ghonnoreah. She claimed to have a slimey white looking discharge for 6 months. Just go get a smear done at a OBGYN. She tried looking online too only to be told it was NORMAL. That was until I started showing simptoms of being infected then we both had to get treatment. And I dumped her afterward for being soo STUPID about the whole thing!

The discharge, if at certain times of the month, indicates ovulation. If it is cottege cheeselike and smelly, then it is a yeast infection.
