Jealousy and ignorance. Inter-racial relationships are a lot more acceptable nowadays than they used to be but you'll always get the silly people.

I wouldn't call someone a racist just because they wouldn't like their child to marry outside their cast - otherwise you would be calling a whole heap of people racists when they aren't.

I love seeing couples of mixed race - it makes me see a happy new world where people accept someone for who they are not what they look like.

MY 2 CENTS

I do not care for interracial relationships personally. With that said, however, I do respect everyone's choice to do as much. I have a daughter and will instill my values and principles into her as I raise her. I will object to her "going out" with someone who is not Caucasian. Once she leave out from under my roof - she is free do as she pleases and I will respect her choices. i dont have to like them but I will respect them - period.

I know the question is - why. Why do I feel the way I do. I guess it is because a part of me feels that one should stick to their "race" as much as they can. yeah... I know,...with all the interracial relationships over the years - race is beginning to become an extinct term. I can see us all - one day - being of one race. But until that day comes, I think we should preserve our ways of life by marrying people who are within our specific social groups.

I do want to point out that just because you do not care for interracial relationships, does NOT mean you are racist. There is a BIG difference between being racist and not caring for interracial relationships. It would be ignorant to call people racist for not wanting to marry someone who does not have the same color skin color.

I grew up ina redneck town. It;s a known fact people fight what they don't understand and what they are most jelous of. There is nothing wrong with a interracial relationship. The bible says there is neighter black nor white nor jew nor gentile in the eyes of the Lord. He sees our heart not our color. Why should we care what color someone is if the Lord sees only the heart? I am telling you people are against it out of ignorance and jelousy.

Because they are so narrow minded they can look through a key hole with both eyes open. I never understood people like that. People are people. My dad taught us to except all people regardless of race, color or creed. So, I always thought it was my civic duty to embrace and accept all woman regardless of race, color or creed, and I have done a very good job at that. I think dad would be proud of me, if anybody in the family was talking to me.

Only because there are still ignorant racist out there on both sides. So if children are produced that child would be hated by blacks for being half white and hated by whites for being half black. Once there are enough to form there own group it'll be OK.

What races are we talking about? The Grand Prix? The Indy 500?, or the St. Patrick's day marathon in St.Louis? I have no problem running several races at once.

It's the same as people being anti-gay marriage. Sometimes we tend to think our way is the only way.

If you love each other and respect each other, it doesn't really matter what race or sex you are.

No there is nothing wrong with it. It's just the way people are raised by their parents and how they view things. Sad really.

Cause they want one and they're jealous, j/k. I think they're just used to what was taught to them that each race should stick with their own or they want to keep their race from being tainted by another's.
