My best friend is Hayley, she and I became friends in the last year of high school. We never really liked each other much at school at the time but we ended up being friends.
We got talkin one day strangely because she got pregnant whilst she was still at school and everyone was really nasty towards her about it. I didn't like the way people were treating her and just start chatting to her and telling her not to let it get her and stuff. That's was nearly 10 years ago.
We have bests friends since that day, we kind of stuck together back then and have always been there for each other since. We have never had an argument. I don't know why but we just haven't.
She has two amazing kids now and they are wonderful, why I never liked her to start with I don't know. Just shows how wrong you can be about people sometimes.

My best friend is my boyfriend. We met at our community college where we both tutored (we worked the same hours). I was shy but he was always friendly to me (even though he was shy too). I saw how he acted towards kids and animals and how enhusiastic he got when talking about certain things. I concluded that he was just a really GOOD person. He started asking me if he could give me rides home and we started becoming friends. Then we confessed feelings for each other, became partners, and after 5 and a half years, can tell each other anything.-That is the hallmark of a best friend.
I had a female best friend too...I'll never forget the feeling. Being able to look at each other and laugh over almost anything, sharing all experiences...I hope someday, again, I can find another close female friend.

My best friend is Richard, my Marine. We met on-line over three years ago while he was getting ready to go back for another 8 month tour in Iraq. Our connection was so strong from the first few minutes of chatting that both of us were amazed. I am twice his age but that was never an issue. We became best friends over the next few months via emails and some infrequent on-line chats. Richard is Special Ops so he was the first group of Marines to be in Iraq and both times he was in Fallujha. I sent him funny letters, cards, patriotic emails and the link between us became even stronger. He referred to me as his "Guardian Angel" and my blog is all about this subject. We describe our friendship as a "Way Cool" relationship and both of our spouses encourage it because it gives us so much enjoyment. The level of trust is incredible and the times we share are fantastic, we are "Best Friends".

For a best friend or a close friend, you develop a feelings for him or her which keeps the bond just like with a guy and a girl when dating. But this "feeling" is special and very nice. It's like you are connected to eachother.
I used to have such a feeling with a friend but unfortunately she did not share the same towards me.
I miss that feeling though.

My best friend is named Lorena. When we were in kindergarden she had a piece of gum in her mouth and was teasing me about not having any. I put stickers on top of her head and when she opened her mouth to cry, I took the gum out of her mouth. Then I brushed the stickers off her head and told her, "Don't cry, let's go play." We've been best friends ever since then and can look back and laugh at how our friendship started. For gag gifts I give her gum.

I have a bestfrend named Stephanie, I usually call her 'Steph' for short, when I was in the 7th grade our science class wouldnt stop talking, as punishment our science teacher told us we had to do 2 reports, one on Albert Eienstien, and another on Leanardo Devincie. So next class we had to go to the computer lab for english, and while we were working on our assignment for english I happend to look back at the computer where Stephanie was working, and noticed she was working on the reports we had to do for science, I looked at her and said "why are you working on the reports now" , then she looked back at me and said " I wanted to try to get them done as soon as possible" and we both laughed (well when our class would usually go to the computer lab for english, we would always have to save our work on a disket) so then I asked her "how do you expect to finish the reports, if your doing them here?" then she said "I'm gonna save it on the disket, and ask the teacher if I can take it home with me" with that I said " oh, well I hope she says yes" and then she said "I hope so too" and we both laughed, we ended up talking the rest of the period, and at the end she asked the teacher if she could take the disket home and the teacher said no, Steph went "aww man" and handed it to the teacher. I walked up to her and asked her what the teacher said, and we ended up laughing over it, next we had lunch, so we sat together and talked and learned alot about eachother.(what was wierd about the way we met was that I'm usually very shy, and I was the one who started the conversation in the lab, lol) We've been best friends ever since, and were like sisters to eachother, she is so awsome, I wouldn't trade her for the world : )

Hey
My husband is definitely my best friend, but my best friends have always been great people who I can laugh with. In college, my husband used to make me laugh until I choked and gagged for breath. I used to tell stories and would make him laugh until he farted and peed on himself. Ergo my theory: Best friends are people who can make eachother laugh the hardest.
In the end, we were two complicated people who needed a release, and we found that in eachother. That's how we got to be friends. Now we're FWB's (Friends with Babies)
