im pretty sure im not the only person that has the "Audacity" program the lil recording software. i just recently downloaded it and im havin problems with it already. the problem im havin is that ever time i try 2 record somethin over a beat (a rap song for example) it seem 2 playback a lil out of sync and that stuff is gettin the best of me and i was hopin 2 the lord almighty that someone out there has a solution 2 this problem. might i add it worked right for a few songs but the rest are all out of sync terribly, so if anyone has a solution 2 this then i would be very thankful and ill send u a thank u card :) thanx

There's a little tool in the upper right that will allow you to drag the track and move it to wherever you like, with out affecting the other tracks. It looks like two arrows pointing in opposite directions. It's called the "Time shift tool". Described in the help menu "for sliding tracks left or right".

That's called latency and chances are the problem is caused by your slow processor, or your input/audio card... could be anything. The other guy gave you the solution, drag the channel a little to sych it right. And Audacttity is by no means little and unknown - in fact, you probably won't find a more popular and better program of that kind for PC. I use a Mac and Garage Band or Logic Express, and guess what? Latency doesn't exist.
