My son bought a little pot with a planted lima bean seed or whatever in it, we been watering it a little bit each day cos those kinds of seeds only mostly need moist soil, just wondering how soon we should see something growing in the little pot?

Lima beans take as little as 5 days to germinate. Don't water too much or it may rot. Also, sit it on the refridgerator (or anywhere else where the temp is 75-80) --the heat from the cooling coils will help it germinate faster.

Where did he get the seed? If it came from a bag in the grocery store it won't germinate. They have been treated to not grow. If not, the are very slow to germinate. If it has been more than 2 weeks, throw it out.
