domain name is something like yahoo.com, google.com, etc. You see, the way the internet works is that you have to connect to an IP# (a unique number assigned to every computer connected to the internet, worldwide). Instead of people trying to remember number like http://123.456.789.11, someone came up with the bright idea to make names like yahoo.com. So when you type http://yahoo.com, what really happens is your web browser connects to your ISP's dns server (a server that translates names like yahoo.com into their real IP#'s). After finding out the IP#, then it connects to that IP#. But you dont know all of that is going on. All you see is that your web page start showing text and pictures and the web address bar keeps showing the address you typed. But what really happened is that our computer figured out the IP# and connected to that.

A server is simply a computer. But more importantly a computer that has a job to serve information across the internet or an intranet (ie you company network). If its an email server, then that computers job is too run a program who's job is mainly devoted to doing email functions (like when you get your email, the site you connect to is a computer (server) that's main job is to get and give you email). Another server could be a web server (like this answers.yahoo.com web site has a server. It's job is to create these questions and post peoples answers.

Broadband is high speed internet. The other type of internet is Dial Up Internet. This is when you connect to the internet with a phone line and a modem. Your phone rings busy when you are connected to the internet with a phone. Due to limitations in the phone line, it can only reach speeds of about 5.6 Kbps. Whereas broadband uses cable wire or DSL (an untapped higher bandwidth of your phone line, that DOES exceed 5.6 Kbps). Broadband connections are fast and they do not tie up the phone line.

Domain: The "address" or URL of a particular Web site. This is also how you describe the name that is at the right of the @ sign in an Internet address. For example, netlingo.com is the domain name of this Internet dictionary. There is an organization called InterNIC that registers domain names for a small fee and keeps people from registering the same name. Most recently, more domain names will be allowed due to new suffixes coming out

Server: A process that runs on a host that relays information to a client upon the client sending it a request. Servers come in many forms: application servers, web servers, database servers, and so forth. All IP-based servers can be load balanced

Broadband: A transmission medium capable of supporting a wide range of frequencies, typically from audio up to video frequencies. It can carry multiple signals by dividing the total capacity of the medium into multiple, independent bandwidth channels, where each channel operates only on a specific range of frequencies.
