My GOD, what the hell is wrong with these people (the sunni and shiite extremists)? I just watched Anderson Cooper do an interview and it's amazing. 30 to 50 bodies are found EVERY morning, tortured, maimed, absolultely brutalized, and for what? Could you imagine if Republicans and Democrats had used kidnapping and bombings to try and get power last election? Do these people realize that they are SCREWING IRAQ OVER? Whether the war was moral or not is beside the point. The violence that is taking place now is not under ANY circumstance justified by the actions of the US and it's allies.
Do you agree with me? What do you think?
I'm sick of hearing about car bombs and dead bodies every day, the Iraqi people have to wake up and join the civilized world or we might as well just give up because the terrorists will overrun that country.

A word of caution - I do not think a situation like this is a matter of immaturity. I AGREE that the people of Iraq need to settle their differences, with or without the U.S. helping them. I am not blaming the U.S. for internal violence (unless the U.S. is playing off one side for the other - I think you know that this tactic is often resorted to in extreme circumstances). If this is a civil war, it's best not to judge the sunni and shiites as immature, since the U.S. also had a Civil War, and for four years there were dead bodies everyday numbering well up to 600,000. Remember, this was how the U.S.A. also became part of the "civilised world" too.

They didn't have peaceful democratic nation like the US before. They didn't have political infrastructure or experience neccesarly to be model democratic nation. It's not easy as you might think to build a nation. So what your saying is equivalent to some physicist coming up to you and telling you how stupid you are for getting 0 in pop quiz on quantum field theory.
This is typical crap people say when they visit remote tribe in Africa years ago. They'll say why can't these people build some factories, make some money and buy BMW.
The violence shouldn't surprise anyone since all the anger have been bottled up under Saddam's dictatorship and we set it free to come out.
I'm sick of people talking about Iraq like it is easy fix up with more troops and killing 'terrorists.' No wonder Iraq is in such a mass.

I agree with you that a lot of people in that country should cooperate and graduate, but I think I can explain why they won't anytime soon: they don't see themselves as "Iraqis" first. They identify first with their families, next with their tribe, next with their religious sect. The notion of nationality falls way down their list of priorities when it comes to forming their identities. And which sect they belong to, Shiite or Sunni, matters a lot more to them than which party someone belongs to matters in the U.S.
I don't know how to solve the problem...it is tempting to say "let's just walk away and let them duke it out," isn't it?...but maybe this explains it a little. It's about how persons in Iraq define themselves in their society, and it's different from the way we do it in the West.

We,as a powerful nation think that we can control all the nation"s
in this world.RIGHT!!! We can not tell people what to do that have been in a situation they are in, and, have been in since the start of time. The Bible controls these rules:we don't.WHY CAN"T
THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD REMEMBER THAT? If we all have the answer to that, then we should not be here, but,ABOVE.

Don't you feel at loss and pity them living in misery and could not solve their own problems with self lack of knoeldge in planet of apes.
Kicking them on their butts will not solve their misery in planet of apes.
They are our brothers and sisters too at loss and stranded in planet of apes.
Why not reach out and extend them a helping hands in tracing the blunders and slip-ups with human errors created by the dirty old men who crowned themselves as the men who would be king in making a mess and monkey out of their misery in planet of apes?

don't angry that much,
i thing it is the time every US do whatever to get your people out.
don't ask them to " grow the F**k up"!!!
it easier to teach your dog at home standing with its 2 legs than asking for Muslim to do something impossible (for them) like making peace!!!
