No it is not unless your partner is large but really there could be something wrong with you down there.
I use to hurt badly after sex and i went to the doctor and i had a vaginal septum which was a long piece of flesh (I was born with it) and the doctor surgically removed it. It would hurt bad and i would bleed afterwards but i do still hurt now during sex and there is nothing wrong with me but i do not know why i do. I can feel pain low down where my ovaries are. I read once that a man can in fact hit your ovaries if they are rough with you.

no its not. You should go to your doctor and see whats up. you could have an infection (using some lubes may make it worse) or you could have a really sencitive cervix.
