Rob Zombie is doing one on Halloween. I'd love to hear more on that. But are they going to do Chucky (Child's Play), Pumpkin Head, Candyman, and those good ones! Or are they working on something? Anyone know anything?

First off the Rob Zombie's Halloween movie is NOT a remake!!! It is a prequel dealing with Micheal Myer's youth. The beginning of the original Halloween shows a young Myers stabbing his older sister to death, then they fast forward 20 years and he's chasing his baby sister (Jamie Lee Curtis). Rob Zombie says his movie will be about the events leading up to the night he stabbed his older sister to death. As far as most horror movies go, the original is ALWAYS better (the only except being Dawn of the Dead) and in franchises (Freddy, Micheal Myers, Chucky) usually the first one is the best, the only exception to that rule is Friday the 13th the first one (with Jason's mother being the killer) is far surpassed by the second movie. A middle aged lady being able to overpower teenage boys is a little too much for me.

The remake of Last House on the Left is supposed to come out this year. That was Wes Craven's first movie. I'm not a fan of remakes of good horror movies, if it was done right the first time don't **** with it. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Psycho shouldn't have been remade, and neither should Halloween.

I think it just goes to show that Hollywood has lost a lot of creativity. They'd rather remake old movies that the current generation wasn't around to see and have them seemingly look like a "new" movie.

Tyler Mane (Sabretooth from the X Men movies) will be playing Michael. That should be an intimidating presence even with the mask. As long as Rob goes more for thriller and not blood and gore, I think it'll be decent.
