What Einstein calls a physical quantity is simply a number, and if it does correspond to a physical reality, that quantity alone yields no suggestion of what that reality might be... it is a measure not of nature itself, but nature exposed to our method of detection.
All thought must, directly or indirectly, by way of certain characters, relate ultimately to intuitions, and therefore, with us, to sensibility, because in no other way can an object be given to us.
Reality is only as the mind perceives it, where yesterday will never arrive and tomorrow has long since gone.
I used to think the mind was the most important part of a person. Then I realized what part of me is telling me that.
What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists? In that case, I definitely overpaid for my carpet.

If reality would not exist, I could just sit here on my computer as long as I like answering intelligent questions. But it exists, therefore I have to get up and cook something for my hungry kid. Or is this all a story in my brain and I can make it up? It just does not work with me. Whatever I try the bathroom does not clean itself with sheer brainpower. How do others do that?

I have, in the past, dealt with issues of depression and depersonalization, where I don't even feel like I exist... and then some stranger opens a door for me, and a silly act like that makes me feel good.. I must exist, as he saw me.
Then again, there's no reality check quite like not having the money to pay your bills for several months in a row. Suddenly, all the other disembodied brains of the collection agency world are interested in YOUR existence and when you're going to send them their MONEY.

reality? what a concept.
depends from person to person. their reality may be a persons imagination or just he 'world' as we know around them...maybe it is because we are al very narrowminded humans, telling each other we can't do this and can't do that becuase it dosen't make senseis hindering us from the real reality. God gave each of us the potential to do amazin ghitngs, but we just don't accept things soemtiems because we want to be in the norm. those who stretch and go outsdie the box, those are the ones who find reality.

I've had the same thought, and the fact is, you can't tell, your brain has no idea of confirming, heck you could be a dream to me, I could be a dream to you, you never know, but learn that what you're in now, that is reality.

If they don't exist then neither do we, so let's just forget about it and live our lives.
